Spiritual knowledge and wisdom deteriorate over time in the Kali Yuga. People become more uneducated and disinterested in spiritual pursuits, and their focus is drawn to materialism and worldly pleasures. Greed, dishonesty, and corruption characterize Kali Yuga society.

I had a conversation with a Spiritual Teacher from India and here’s what he shared with me:

POV of a Spiritual Teacher upon Sensitive People

I think it’s an important topic. Sensitive means feeling too much, like being emotionally in tune with people, surroundings etc. That is today promoted as a very essential part of new age awakening. But in my opinion, it is wrong.

Spirituality means being very practical, logical and able to deal with things with great expertise and adequately according to Divine Order. So emotional nature is fallen nature, it is the nature of the mind. As long as a person is stuck in sensitivity, he/she cannot understand Divine Mystery. Divine Love does not come through feelings, but through grounding in reason and common sense.

I like to see people practical first and foremost, then they can advance spiritually. Otherwise we get all kinds of cults and craziness going on all based on feelings. People make excuses for horrible things just because they felt it is right to do in that time or whatever they were guided by so-called intuition.

My point of view is that, that sort of wisdom you mention does not come from being sensitive but from being stable and strong character, firm faith and order. Sensitivity can be a form of weakness is what I am saying. That is why my advice would rather be to educate people to overcome this, and through reason and common sense get in tune with God and higher mysteries, not through feelings. Because feelings comes from mind, wisdom comes from spirit.

The starting point would be, just not trusting the mind as it’s all lies all the time.

Why is the world dominated by the Arrogant, while the Humble are cast aside?

First of all Kali Yuga is age where Virtue is rare and rarely seeked. People, intelligence and values are distorted, animalistic, so they go after degrading things.

Secondly, the humble are not educated about what humility actually means, and that it applies in relation to God and Godly, not world and worldly.

Humble means people do not need to be weak but can also cut and roar when necessary.

So weakness should not be mistaken for humility, it is rather a self-esteem issue.

Love is kind but also strong
Generous but strict
Joyful but disciplined
Understanding but uncompromising
That is Father’s love.

So all that should be taught by Parents and Spiritual Teachers.
