I teach French to English speakers using Intuitive and Creative Processes that connect language with Emotion, Culture, and Self–Expression.

I’m a Native French speaker from France, close to Bilingual in English.
I hold a Master’s in Communications and
a degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language
I’ve worked in the Arts & Culture field in France as well as in pedagogy and taught students of all ages across the world.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me exploring, writing, or taking care of animals.

I was fortunate to cross paths with Emilie last year while living on Bainbridge Island in Washington. I had been looking for a native French teacher to help prepare my 12-year-old son, Diego, to pass an A1/A2 level written and oral exam to enter the second year of a bilingual Spanish/French secondary school back in Madrid (where we had been living before coming to the United States). With no French classes offered at his school in the US, we tried some small group online classes, but they seemed too basic to prepare him for the school exam. With Emilie, we began in April with in-person classes, one to two days a week. She patiently worked through the Madrid school’s French book with my son. Emilie helped him with pronunciation, grammar, and written and conversational French. Her friendly nature helped her develop a nice rapport with Diego. She also had high expectations of him, assigning him homework for additional practice and was always very professional and punctual. We continued the classes online together after we both left the United States. After finishing the book at the end of summer, we are pleased to share that our son passed the exam and was admitted to the second year of the bilingual French program! The school’s administrators told us it was very rare to allow a student to enter the bilingual program in the second year, only occurring in exceptional cases when the child had a native French-speaking parent, which was not our case. We are so grateful to Emilie for everything she did to help Diego learn to speak confidently in French! Hearing them practice together has inspired me to brush up on my French skills as well. Who knows, perhaps I will be Emilie’s next student! In the meantime, we highly recommend Emilie to anyone who would like to learn French.
