MANIPULATION – ABUSE – What entrepreneurs go through on a regular basis

MANIPULATION – ABUSE – What entrepreneurs have to go through on a regular basis or at least be well aware of

This is truly an awful part of what we do and we have to learn how to recognize those patterns very quickly and set boundaries but as we are humans, we always find ourselves getting trapped again in some bad situations…

Basically if you become an entrepreneur it is because you have so much to give and you know you can make a difference into people’s lives

And as you move through society and meet people from all walks of life, you see that there are many people who need what you have and some of them really want it

But the harsh truth is that only a fraction of this crowd is ready to pay for it

And the other part of the crowd will just try to manipulate you in every possible way to get as much as possible without paying for it, leaving you just hurt and exhausted

Some people are so good at making you believe they will pay for your services so they can have that first extended session “to get to know you” – but they perfectly know from the beginning that they will never follow-up with the contract – but of course, they won’t tell you because then they perfectly you would stop giving and they don’t want that to happen so they lie to you and mislead you

Pretty sad but true and having been a victim of this recently, I truly want to write here for anyone who would do that without realizing the consequences, know that it hurts when you do that – it really does and some people even give up on their soul mission because of that kind of attitude

And no, you DO NOT DESERVE to receive for free what people have accumulated in terms of competences thanks to years of hard work and regular financial investments

And this is called ABUSE and everything you do to get as much as you can for free is called manipulation and being toxic and harmful

I’ve paid 25% of everything I had at one point in my journey to learn from someone – I know what it is and how it feels to invest in one’s dreams, and not from a comfortable place

But it felt right and I accepted to be in that space of giving

Lots of us arrive in entrepreneurship with a full heart open and sometimes you kind of see people fighting for you to close it because people don’t know how to see the value where it is

This is a sick world – observing people saying they cannot afford your services while your fees are lower than their monthly budget for alcohol – this is really an experience I wish I never had…

Anyway, just sharing this here to make anyone become more aware of what people go through on the other side and how your behavior can impact them when you benefit from everything they have and you become a cactus when it comes to using your wallet

When you like someone’s mission, don’t tell them you like them or that you support what they do, support it by paying – at some point, compliments is not commitment and entrepreneurs do not need compliments to grow, they need people who value their work by paying for it – not people who abuse from it

And if your budget for frivolous, unhealthy and useless things is bigger than this entrepreneur budget, turn the mirror inside and ask yourself why you keep choosing what will destroy you instead of what will help you build your best life

Seriously – watch inside why throwing the money out of the window for crap is a better choice than investing it in building your dream

And if you think you will get to a bright place alone, you’re wrong, because no one does.
