What to do in Washington DC if you come for a week-end or just have little moments every now and then to visit the city?
Start by The White House!
Start by going to the WHITE HOUSE & more importantly, visit their Visitor Centre, it’s very close and it’s interesting! From the White House you can walk there in 5 minutes.

Then go to a nice market
Spend some time at the Eastern market in DC : https://easternmarket-dc.org and enjoy some nice food and lots of different stalls!

Go to see wonderful works of Art
At the National Gallery of Art – If you love the one in London, you will love this one too!
There are 2 buildings: an East wing for the modern & contemporary art and a West wing for the older paintings – they both communicate so you don’t need to get out to pass from one to another.

Discover a beautiful neighborhood
Go to see and walk around in Georgetown area and enjoy its beautiful C&O Canal

While you’re in this area, go to see Georgetown University – it is very accessible (at least the garden) and the ancient building truly is beautiful

Go to watch Live Shows
Go to DC Improv for Live shows – Described as “The top comedy spot in the nation’s capital!”, it opened its doors in 1992, showcasing national touring headliners and the best local performers. And it’s all in a highly accessible downtown location.
