Giftedness, high potentiality: some avenues for self-development

Based on an ITW of Fabrice Michaud, here are some relevant development paths around high potential.

Tame the fear

People who doubt are afraid: you have to tell yourself that no one cares, the fear of fear costs more than the fear.

Any person who doubts always has a part of himself that does not doubt, so you must learn to go and consult it and do it regularly. A part of you knows what is absolutely right for you.

And the more you take action, the better off you will be.

If we allow ourselves to vibrate differently, at a highest frequency due to more confidence, everything will become less dangerous.

To be oneself

No one cares, people only care about themselves.
So you might as well be yourself.

Fabrice Michaud

All gifted people have an impostor complex: being an impostor in a world of impostors is ok after all. What we need to focus on is respecting our inner ecology, our integrity and setting our boundaries.

Learning about the world of neuro-typicals

The world of neurotypicals is not to be understood, it is to be learned.

We learn their language, their culture and we will never understand them because they are not like us. But it is better to learn their language in order to interact in a comfortable way.

We are expatriates in a foreign world. We must find our place and adopt a peaceful co-existence with the world.

The absence of a collective narrative

Neurotypicals are in a collective narrative. We are not.

When we go to another country, we adapt, we are ourselves, but we adapt to the culture in which we are. We can be happy to co-exist, without being fooled.

Gifted people are travelers.

Fabrice Michaud

We must remain curious about the world of others. About their culture, their way of seeing and doing things. We must remain united and curious about each other, not reject the rest of the world.

And not to oppose the worlds: to put benevolence and respect on our respective functioning.

We are on different typologies. There are some everywhere in the world in all societies.

Do HPI’s attract each other? Yes, like magnets. So we can try to surround ourselves with similar personalities in order to feel less isolated and to build our own collective experiences (which seems to me to be essential for social development).

We must be aware that the people around us often cannot hear what we think. Because we don’t live in the same world as them and we tend to question too many things for them, especially their bases, so it can irritate them.

So you have to learn to dose

Adapting: a job and an effort

In terms of adaptation, it is up to us to make the effort because neuro-typicals don’t care about our problems.

While respecting us, we must therefore find ways of being kind and acceptable.

Developing a relationship with our body

We need a container.

Connecting the body to the earth acts like an electrical outlet and we really need this current.

All methods are good: reflexology, sports, oxygenation, forest bathing, massages, staying in motion through walking, dancing, etc.

We must learn to become our own doctor and remain conscious of the fact that there is a lot at stake around the body, which is a wonderful tool for listening…
